Full Itinerary
Arrival In Taormina
Welcome to Sicily.
There will be a group transfer from Catania Airport to our hotel in Taormina.
After checking in, we'll fit your e-bike and head out for a short warm up ride giving everyone the opportunity to become familiar with the bikes and enjoy the first views of Sicily's beautiful coastline.
This evening we'll gather for a welcome dinner - the perfect way to meet your guides and fellow travellers while enjoying your first authentic Sicilian meal.

Savoca - The Godfather Ride
Today’s ride follows the beautiful Ionian coastline before climbing through peaceful country roads towards the hilltop village of Savoca - one of Sicily’s most picturesque villages and famous as the filming location for The Godfather.
We'll explore the village on a guided walking tour, visit the iconic Bar Vitelli and enjoy a traditional Sicilian lunch in a local trattoria.
In the afternoon we’ll return comfortably to Taormina by private van, leaving the afternoon free to relax or explore the town.

Today is yours to enjoy at your own pace.
Take the cable car down to the beautiful bay of Isola Bella, visit the Ancient Greek Theatre, stroll along Corso Umberto or simply relax by the hotel pool.

Ride Europe's Highest Active Volcano
A short morning transfer brings us to Linguaglossa, where today’s unforgettable ride begins.
Pedal through forests, ancient lava flows and dramatic volcanic scenery on the northern slopes of Mount Etna. Quiet mountain roads and ever-changing landscapes make this one of the highlights of the tour.
Lunch is served at a traditional mountain chalet before guests have the opportunity to join an optional 4x4 excursion to the summit craters.
We'll then regroup for an amazing decent before returning to Taormina by private van.

Etna's Vineyards
A short morning transfer bring us to Linguaglossa. Our final ride in the Etna region takes us along the famous Quota Mille Road through vineyards, lava fields and traditional mountain villages before reaching one of the volcano’s most renowned wineries.
A guided visit and wine tasting are followed by lunch overlooking the vineyards.
In the afternoon we’ll leave Mount Etna behind and travel south by private coach to the beautiful Noto Valley, where the second chapter of our Sicilian journey begins.

Noto Loop and Ancient Sicily
Today’s ride explores the peaceful countryside surrounding Noto before climbing to the tiny village of Testa dell’Acqua and continuing to the fascinating archaeological site of Noto Antica.
A long descent brings us into the UNESCO World Heritage town of Noto, where there will be time to explore its magnificent Baroque streets on a private guided walking tour followed by a delicious lunch.
Guests may choose to return to the hotel by bike or by private van.
Before dinner we'll take a trip on the Baroque tourist train.

Modica and Ragusa - Chocolate and Baroque Sicily
Rolling countryside leads us towards Modica, internationally famous for its unique chocolate-making tradition.
After exploring the historic centre and tasting the city’s renowned chocolate, we’ll continue towards the magnificent Baroque town of Ragusa Ibla.
Following lunch, our private van returns us to the hotel.

Noto and the Southernmost Point of Sicily
Today’s ride heads towards the Vendicari Nature Reserve before reaching the charming fishing village of Marzamemi.
Continuing south, we’ll arrive at Portopalo di Capo Passero, Italy’s southernmost point, where the Ionian and Mediterranean seas meet.
After lunch we’ll return to the hotel by private van.

The Taste of Sicily - Mozzarella Cheese
Our final ride takes us through the quiet Hyblaean countryside, passing olive groves, almond trees and traditional Sicilian farms.
At a local masseria we’ll enjoy an authentic mozzarella-making experience followed by a farm-to-table lunch prepared with fresh local ingredients.
Later we’ll return to the hotel by private van before gathering one last time for our Farewell Dinner.

Slightly longer distances up to 50km/day on mainly flat terrain with minimal elevation. E-Bikes can give you a boost on the hills. Easy tours are for the rider who wants to take in the surroundings at a comfortable pace. You will need a moderate level of fitness, exercising a couple of days a week and be confident on your bike.

Participants will be asked to complete a booking form after confirmation of their booking.
BOOKING CONDITIONS
To ensure the trip's viability with our suppliers, a minimum number of participants is usually required. Upon submitting your booking request, we will provide specifics regarding minimum numbers. Following trip confirmation, you may proceed with flight bookings and other travel arrangements. A ‘Limited’ trip status signifies limited spaces available. For trip status inquiries, kindly email or call our office.
DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS
A deposit is required to secure your place on your selected tour departure. On receipt of your deposit, Global Cycling Adventures will email you a confirmation to verify your travel arrangements and advise final payment details. The final payment is normally required 60 days before departure date unless otherwise specified.
CANCELLATIONS & AMENDMENTS
All tour cancellations will require notification in writing to Global Cycling Adventures by the person participating on the tour. Please be advised that booking cancellations or amendments will incur relevant fees. Cancellation charges are tour-specific and timing-dependent. For a comprehensive outline of our terms and conditions, including the cancellation policy, please refer to the travel proposal provided by our team.
We recommend that you purchase cancellation insurance on payment of your tour deposit in case unforeseen circumstances force you to cancel your tour.
